New companion!

Hello!
I AM TRAINING. Crazy. I love it so much! Okay. So my new companion is Elder Simmons! He is super funny. He is a super great guy! I am still in Szekesfehervar and I am still loving it! The weird thing about this transfer is that we are now alone! We are the only companionship in Szekesfehervar! Crazy, right? Training is going super well. He is so eager to learn and it is fun just to watch him and help him out with everything. Also, he is getting all sorts of firsts and that is fun.
This week we had a really cool experience with one of our investigators. Basically, she has been having some family problems and we decided to fast together so it would get better. We fasted. The day that we stopped I called her to see how it all turned out. She asked us to come over. So we did. She then proceeded to tell us that it had actually gotten worse. A lot worse. As she sat there crying, I felt prompted to ask her if she would like a blessing. I stood there and words came out in Hungarian. It was beautiful. Beautiful, because it was not me. After the blessing, she sat down and with a new determination and hope in her eyes (she stopped crying), she said she was coming to church.
Even when we tried our best and it did not succeed, she did not let her faith waver. That is so crazy. I am baffled by the strength of these people. Amazing. I hope I can have that much faith.
Things are good. I can feel myself changing and I am trying my best to just let it happen.
Have a fantastic day. I love you all. Do the best that you can!
        Sok szeretettel,
             Neely Elder.

I AM TRAINING!!

Hey,
This is going to be SUPER SHORT!
I am training! I am super excited!
Transfers this time are super CRAZY! Just all over the place. Crazy stuff. CrAzY. Dang. Okay. Trying to breathe.
Outside of all of this, nothing crazy happened this week. One funny event: We were in the elevator with these two boys and it was absolutely silent. Then Elder Blake drank some water and it made this funny noise and we all just cracked up laughing at the same time. It was so funny. Way to dissolve that awkward moment!
Yeah. Sorry this email is so short and stupid. I will tell you all sorts of info later!
          Sok szeretettel,
                Neely Elder.

Short and Sweet!

Hello!
I am doing great! Our investigators are doing great! We are kind of having a problem where our investigators are disappearing, because they are getting baptized!! It is a pretty good problem to have!!
As for this week. It has been great! This last Monday we went for a hike with our friend Ricsi, super fun. It was like eight miles though...so kind of exhausting! But it was fantastic.
This week we did a lot of finding. TONS OF FINDING. But it was pretty great. We have been finding all sorts of great new people, so that is nice! This week we also had Zone Training, so I got to see my good friend Elder Peterson. I also got to go on splits with Elder Raymond. So much fun. We have the most stellar missionaries here in the world. I love it so much. So great.
The rest of the week was pretty normal, but on Saturday we had "K" baptism! It went so good! It was great. She came up out of the water with all smiles :) It was fantastic! So cool. We are super proud of her and everything that she has been doing.
Sunday was a beautiful day. "K" was confirmed, "A" gave a talk and "R" gave the closing prayer. These peoples' futures are so bright. I am so proud of all of them. They will be the best members ever!!
I am a happy boy. I love you all so much. I am so proud of all of you and I pray for you always! Thank you all so much for your support and love.
         Sok szeretettel,
            Neely Elder.

Hot week in Hungary!

Hellosztok!
How are you? I am doing so good! This week was fantastic! We have been working our butts off. And sadly, it is getting hot again :( I AM SWEATING ALL THE TIME. There is no escaping this heat. It is just always present.
This week has been actually kind of boring. Most of the people that we have been meeting with kind of disappeared. But here are some of the great things from this week:

  • Bought a Mandolin this week. LOLOLOL. It is really fun to play. The sisters bought ukuleles and we are just making music everywhere!
  • This week we had district meeting on the 4th of July! It was so much fun! We made everything American themed. It was great. After, we got hamburgers and ice cream. It was a great day! I loved it. So much fun. Also, our district is the best in the world.
  • Also, we met like 5 times this week with "K". She is doing so well! She is really excited for her baptism. It will be awesome!!
  • At English class this week. So funny. Two of the members got in a little fight about what past present perfect continuous tense was or something. IDK. I don't understand English grammar. But it was funny, because they were arguing in Hungarian and Elder Blake was like, "Excuse me, this is English class." It was so sassy! So now everyone in English Class says, "is this English class?" It was funny.
  • We had another successful family night. It was fun. We had palacsintas. Basically, crepes. We got to hang out with some investigators and it was just a great time.
The last thing that was just amazing was seeing "R" bless the sacrament this week. I wanted to die. Life is beautiful. The Gospel changes people. I am a happy, happy man. I love you all so much. Look out for the miracles! Because they still exist. I love you all so much and I am sorry this email is lame. Have a good week!
Love,
      Elder Neely.

Miraculous week!

Dearest Family,
Hello from Szekesfehervar! The greatest city in the world!
This week was the greatest week of my life. Seriously, so good!

  • Monday: We had a surprise day full of programs. A bunch of people just called us and asked us if we could meet. Sure! It kind of killed P-day, but that is alright :)
  • Tuesday: We met with a couple more people. We met with "R" and talked about Temples with him. So cool. He is seriously the greatest. Also, the sisters got transferred, weird, right? Sister Moffat left us and we got Sister Clawson. She goes home in like 28 days or something. Crazy!
  • Wednesday: "R" Got baptized! It was so beautiful. There were just a few people there. We walked into the water and he went down and up like a champ. The amazing part is that he went down a man and came up a different person. He has changed so much and he felt the Spirit so strong. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. Then we all got pizza together. Super good day :)
  • Friday: Crazy good day. Went finding in a field of wheat. Yeah. That is a real thing here in Hungary. I picked one of the stalks and ate the grains of wheat. I felt like a disciple in Jesus' time period. Pretty cool. We also had District Meeting. I love those. They are always so fun! I love my district. They are the greatest. We also had a super cool program with our investigator "K". She wants to get baptized, but her parents wouldn't allow it. So we had a program where we decided to pray together so she would be able to talk with her parents. It was super cool.
  • Saturday: We had a Branch Party. It was Bogracs in a Forest. IT WAS SO FUN. We had a couple of people from English Class and a bunch of members and we ate Marha Porkolt (SO FINCSI). I played Star Wars in the forest with the kids and we went hunting lizards and it was just a blast. Downside: I got 12 bug bites. KOMOLYAN? That kind of sucked. But it was great. Then we had some fun time at the English Class. Good days. Then all of a sudden, "K" comes and she talked to her parents! She is getting baptized! We are super excited for her!
  • Sunday: We had church. "R" was confirmed. He is the newest member of Szekesfehervar! He also got the priesthood. His future is so bright. It was the greatest thing ever. Then we had family home evening and dinner with a bunch of our investigators and members. It was fun. We played some card games and it was just great.
Guys. This week has been miraculous. So crazy good. I am working hard. I am exhausted all the time and life has never been so good :)
I love you all so much!
