Krishna Volgy

Hello,
This last week. So much fun! we got to go see the Krishna Volgy. It was super cool! We ate their food (amazing btw) and got to see their temple and it was just really nice. Really peaceful. Until a sassy guy from Britain started sassing us and then I was like, "Dude, don't even." LOL. This is my life. I have so many pictures, I will send them to you guys.
Also, this last week so many of our investigators just kind of disappeared. Great. So in that way our week was kind of on the lamer side, but we pressed forward!
Cool things: 1. We went tracting and this guy opened the door and answered all of our questions super well. He let us in and just started asking all of these random questions and it was so good! We are super excited to start meeting with him. 2. This week we met with "S". She said that she thought she had not done enough to be baptized. So we talked it out a little bit and then I said, "For your homework, I feel like you should read Mosiah 18." Simple. We met the next day and she said, "How did you know? How did you know that that chapter would speak to me as if God himself were to shout it at me? How did you know?" The Spirit "S". Not even me. She is planning on getting baptized this Saturday if all goes well :)
Transfers are happening next week and I feel like I may get transferred out. Which is rough, but I love this place so much and I feel like I have done a lot of good here. I am such a happy man.
This week is a huge holiday in Hungary on the 20th. We will tell you all about the festivities next week. I love you all so much. Have a wonderful day! I love you all!
         xoxo Neely Elder.

So little time!!--August 11th

Hello,
So we have soooooo little time this day. We are going to see a Krishna run farm. So that should be fun :)
Our week was a little slower and crazier than normal. We were in Budapest so that kind of threw things off, but our investigators are doing so well! They are just lighting all sorts of things on fire. "S" is doing SO CRAZILY GOOD. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. We taught the Word of Wisdom. She hasn't smoked since. We taught her tithing. She asked how to donate. We told her that it was an after baptism thing and she was like, "....why?" OMG HOW IS SHE SO COOL. Her interview for baptism should be next week and the baptism should be on the 23. THIS BOY IS EXCITED. It is so cool. So many miracles.
Speaking of miracles. This week we continued to meet with "R". He has decided that the most important thing he can do is go around to the less active in the branch and bring them back into activity. He is single handedly bringing them back. WHAT IS THIS MADNESS. HOW IS THIS SO COOL? I don't even know. These people are such great examples to me.
This week I also went on splits with Elder McKissick who I served around in my first transfer! It was pretty fun and we ran into a film being filmed! It was pretty crazy. Something WWII I think.
Have you seen the newest Mormon message? PROBABLY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN EXISTENCE. Please watch it. Please please please. It is seriously so cool. That is what we are trying to help people do. OMG I could talk about it for eons. God loves us so much. He guides us so gently. And the tiniest of things can absolutely change our entire lives. So cool. So amazing.
This week we had a program with "R" and "K". "K" is probably one of the coolest people in the world, but he doesn't really want to get baptized. So we were sitting there and all of a sudden, we start talking about faith. We discussed it and talked about it and really went through it and I realized that we were kind of holding our own little "School of the Prophets". These men are so prepared and are so bright. We are just kind of here to train them a little. To guide them in the right way. It was super cool. Idk how to explain it right...but super cool!
The last thing I want to talk about was a kind of random experience I had this week. Randomly, we decided to walk into one of the beautiful churches that are here in Szekesfehervar. We came in and a lady asked us if we wanted to take a tour, so we did. She took us around the entire church. It was massive. And it wasn't until the very end that she said anything or showed us anything about the Savior, Jesus Christ. The place was beautiful. The history was interesting. But I am so glad that from the first time we step into anything that this Church has to offer, we can learn about the Savior, feel of his love, learn of his life. Anything. It is crazy. I am so grateful to be a member of this church. So grateful to be here on a mission. I love you all so much. Have an amazing week.

Stars Wars VII??

Hello everyone!
Your emails find me happy and healthy. Mostly happy. Well, I mean, I am trying to be healthy, BUT WHEN YOU SEND ME 10 PACKAGES OF REESE'S IT IS LIKE ALL I CAN DO TO RESIST ALL OF THE TEMPTATION TO EATH THEM! Thank you for the package. I am super happy about it!
Keep doing missionary work! Missionary work is the best and now that I am on a mission, I have realized how cool it would have been if I would have done more missionary work. It would have been cool. It still can be cool, we just have to do it!
This week. Oh my goodness guys this week was the best in the world!
So first off, Elder Simmons is probably the best person in the world. He is the greatest.
This week we went walking around town with a couple of members just visiting the sites and such. It was super fun. On Tuesday we went up to Budapest for interviews with President Smith. It was so great! I loved talking to him and just having a grand interview. It was super nice.
This week we also went to Veszprem for District Meeting. It was fun, except for when one of the missionaries led us to "a super good cheap place to get great food". The only option was deep fried pig liver. NO.
This Sunday we had quite an eventful church. A family from Italy came. I sneezed/yelled during the opening hymn while playing the piano, a member was wearing the sacrament cloth like a cape to reenact Elijah and Elisha. It was a great Sunday. Then we went up to Budapest again for Greenie Training. I am convinced they should just change our calls to the Szekesfehervar and Sometimes Budapest Mission. LOL. But it was super fun to be there. I got to hang out with a bunch of my friends and just chat. It was great.
On Monday I got to have a P-Day in Budapest! Yeah buddy! It was super fun. I just chilled around with a bunch of missionary friends in Buda for the day. Shout out to Elders Cox, Cathcart and Sisters Magda, Griggs and Cox! I love you guys! Seriously. I want to serve around or with them so bad. They are fantastic. Then we went shopping and then came home exhausted.
Today, I want to tell you about a few things.
Today, we met with "R" (our recent convert). He basically proceeded to ask us if he could help in reactivating other members that have gone inactive. He basically pleaded with us to give him an assignment and to give him ways to help. After this he came to a program with us and helped resolve a lot of concerns our investigator was having. It's like...HOW. It is so amazing. I cannot even describe to you how amazing this all is and how spectacular this guy is. I am just blown away all the time. So crazy. He is seriously the best ever.
Today we also met with "S". It was crazy good. She finished the Book of Mormon, and knows it is true. She said she knows it is true, not because she read it, but because it has changed her life. She said that she used to pray to be able to love her family more and be happier and have more peace in her life. She said that  she had received all of these things, because the book had changed her life. Crazy. Amazing good. She is working towards baptism so hard. It is so amazing. I stand all amazed.
This stuff is real my friends. This stuff is reality. I feel like sometimes these things, these spiritual things have become more real than the material world. I am so grateful for this. So grateful.
I believe in Jesus Christ. I have faith in Him. I love you all so much. I have the best companion. My friends and family are the greatest people this world has to offer. Star Wars VII is coming out December 18th, 2015. I am a happy boy. I love you all so much!
        Sok szeretettel,

New companion!

Hello!
I AM TRAINING. Crazy. I love it so much! Okay. So my new companion is Elder Simmons! He is super funny. He is a super great guy! I am still in Szekesfehervar and I am still loving it! The weird thing about this transfer is that we are now alone! We are the only companionship in Szekesfehervar! Crazy, right? Training is going super well. He is so eager to learn and it is fun just to watch him and help him out with everything. Also, he is getting all sorts of firsts and that is fun.
This week we had a really cool experience with one of our investigators. Basically, she has been having some family problems and we decided to fast together so it would get better. We fasted. The day that we stopped I called her to see how it all turned out. She asked us to come over. So we did. She then proceeded to tell us that it had actually gotten worse. A lot worse. As she sat there crying, I felt prompted to ask her if she would like a blessing. I stood there and words came out in Hungarian. It was beautiful. Beautiful, because it was not me. After the blessing, she sat down and with a new determination and hope in her eyes (she stopped crying), she said she was coming to church.
Even when we tried our best and it did not succeed, she did not let her faith waver. That is so crazy. I am baffled by the strength of these people. Amazing. I hope I can have that much faith.
Things are good. I can feel myself changing and I am trying my best to just let it happen.
Have a fantastic day. I love you all. Do the best that you can!

I AM TRAINING!!

Hey,
This is going to be SUPER SHORT!
I am training! I am super excited!
Transfers this time are super CRAZY! Just all over the place. Crazy stuff. CrAzY. Dang. Okay. Trying to breathe.
Outside of all of this, nothing crazy happened this week. One funny event: We were in the elevator with these two boys and it was absolutely silent. Then Elder Blake drank some water and it made this funny noise and we all just cracked up laughing at the same time. It was so funny. Way to dissolve that awkward moment!
Yeah. Sorry this email is so short and stupid. I will tell you all sorts of info later!
          Sok szeretettel,

Short and Sweet!

Hello!
I am doing great! Our investigators are doing great! We are kind of having a problem where our investigators are disappearing, because they are getting baptized!! It is a pretty good problem to have!!
As for this week. It has been great! This last Monday we went for a hike with our friend Ricsi, super fun. It was like eight miles though...so kind of exhausting! But it was fantastic.
This week we did a lot of finding. TONS OF FINDING. But it was pretty great. We have been finding all sorts of great new people, so that is nice! This week we also had Zone Training, so I got to see my good friend Elder Peterson. I also got to go on splits with Elder Raymond. So much fun. We have the most stellar missionaries here in the world. I love it so much. So great.
The rest of the week was pretty normal, but on Saturday we had "K" baptism! It went so good! It was great. She came up out of the water with all smiles :) It was fantastic! So cool. We are super proud of her and everything that she has been doing.
Sunday was a beautiful day. "K" was confirmed, "A" gave a talk and "R" gave the closing prayer. These peoples' futures are so bright. I am so proud of all of them. They will be the best members ever!!
I am a happy boy. I love you all so much. I am so proud of all of you and I pray for you always! Thank you all so much for your support and love.
         Sok szeretettel,
            Neely Elder.

Hot week in Hungary!

Hellosztok!
How are you? I am doing so good! This week was fantastic! We have been working our butts off. And sadly, it is getting hot again :( I AM SWEATING ALL THE TIME. There is no escaping this heat. It is just always present.
This week has been actually kind of boring. Most of the people that we have been meeting with kind of disappeared. But here are some of the great things from this week:

  • Bought a Mandolin this week. LOLOLOL. It is really fun to play. The sisters bought ukuleles and we are just making music everywhere!
  • This week we had district meeting on the 4th of July! It was so much fun! We made everything American themed. It was great. After, we got hamburgers and ice cream. It was a great day! I loved it. So much fun. Also, our district is the best in the world.
  • Also, we met like 5 times this week with "K". She is doing so well! She is really excited for her baptism. It will be awesome!!
  • At English class this week. So funny. Two of the members got in a little fight about what past present perfect continuous tense was or something. IDK. I don't understand English grammar. But it was funny, because they were arguing in Hungarian and Elder Blake was like, "Excuse me, this is English class." It was so sassy! So now everyone in English Class says, "is this English class?" It was funny.
  • We had another successful family night. It was fun. We had palacsintas. Basically, crepes. We got to hang out with some investigators and it was just a great time.
The last thing that was just amazing was seeing "R" bless the sacrament this week. I wanted to die. Life is beautiful. The Gospel changes people. I am a happy, happy man. I love you all so much. Look out for the miracles! Because they still exist. I love you all so much and I am sorry this email is lame. Have a good week!
Love,
      Elder Neely.
